True Swamp Neglect - Umbrella Weather

It’s fucking raining…again. I am enjoying my 5th night off in about 5 weeks…sure, working everyday has netted me a couple of hundred pounds but I feel mentally obliterated. Writing anything resembling a blog post has been the last thing on my mind. But it’s a rainy day and here’s a band with an extremely relevant song. They’re called True Swamp Neglect and they’re from Bournemouth, a town (not quite a city) that’s produced members for some of the UK’s best bands (Bloc Party, Radiohead, Blur)

Taking influence from bands such as Sonic Youth, Pavement, The Velvet Underground and The Fall. “Umbrella Weather” is a blissed out stompalong song that despite being about rainy days has a summery vibe to it which is perfect for days like this.  No idea how old this track is or what True Swamp Neglect are up to these days, they’re probably all in a mexican reggae troupe or something.
