Like a beautiful collision of post-punk and lo-fi grunge Male Bonding really made big steps in 09. From being just a band with a silly name, they’ve become one of Sub Pop’s most discussed signings, along the wat releasing split 7”s with just about everyone. (i.e. your neighbour, your uncle, your neighbours dog)
“But it’s basically just noisy repetitive lo-fi” grumbles the beardy man in the corner wearing a Mogwai tshirt. This hypothetical man may be right, but when was the last time a band came along like Male Bonding that just make you say “Fuck it! This band make perfect sense, I am a believer!”
