tell me what it look like tell me what it is

WU LYF (World Unite - Lucifer Youth Foundation) - are something of a 10 headed myth. In this age of internet and communication it seems increasingly harder for bands to retain any real sense of mystique; WU LYF however, seem to be doing a fairly good job. Anything people really seem to know about them, is that they’re from Manchester, show traits similar to that of a cult and are creating a massive amount of A&R interest. Their myspace is as good as useless and their website just seems to depict cut up photographs pasted together and phrases such as “kids that play heavy”. It’s all this mystery and interest that has enabled them to recently sell 6 track demo EP’s for £50 a go. Suppose if there’s 10 of them they need to get their fair share.

I don’t know if it’s even worth writing about the music, I mean isn’t that what ‘hype’ is all about. It feels wrong not to though, so basically it manages to sound scary yet hopeful at the same time and has been described as “Spiritualized in a scuffle with Swans”.
